On an underutilized commercial property located on prime real estate, Chris Gustard was brought onto the design team as the project landscape architect to assist in transforming the lot into a signature hotel property. The pool area was designed in such a way as to capitalize on both ocean views and visitor’s experience upon check-in at the lobby entrance. The property features a pool lined with Medjool Date Palms, a fire pit and flagstone patio, a putting green and badminton court along with an outdoor barbecue and eating area. Native and drought resistant plants and grasses were utilized with minimal use of turf.
Contracted Services: Site planning and landscape concept plans, city and community presentations, view corridor exhibits, landscape construction drawings, details and specifications, irrigation plans, planting plans and specifications, lighting plans, area drainage plans coordinated with civil engineer, and construction administration including estimating, bidding, and onsite contractor coordination.
